Obituary For Alan Jay Liss

Alan Jay Liss Dec. 22, 1954 – Dec. 10, 2020

Alan Jay Liss, 65, Altoona, PA passed away Thursday at his residence. He was born in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Irving and Florence Liss. Alan married Heather M. Hutcheon on June 14, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Heather; daughter, Rhea A. Liss; step-daughter, Maura M. Lowey and step-son, Alexander P. Lowey; mother and step-father, Florence and Charles E. Greenhill; sisters, Donna (Jeffrey) Mallinger, Randi (Barry) Ruggiero and their son, Brandon “Biggie Boy” all of NJ. Alan was preceded in death by his father Irving; his son, Ian Michael Liss; and a step-sister Lezlie Paige Clark. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel. Alan enjoyed sports, music, and had a huge love for dogs, but most especially loved watching his children in dance and karate. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.     Condolences to Alan's family. Alan was a very unique, kind hearted, giving man who will never be forgotten by the people who's lives he has touched. Me, and my family will always treasure the time we had with Alan There was never a dull moment with Alan around. Although ourartiage did not survive.
