A funeral or memorial service is an important part of the healing process. The choices that are made in honoring a loved one will make the service a personal and meaningful experience.
Traditional Funeral Service:
Many families choose to follow the traditional funeral process which includes a private or public visitation with or without a viewing of the deceased. Also, there is typically a service at the funeral home or a place of worship. This is then followed by an earth or above ground burial of the casketed remains at a cemetery or a cremation of the deceased.
We are committed to help you create a unique and meaningful ceremony that reflects the life of your loved one.
Graveside Service:
This service is conducted at the place of final disposition. This is typically an abbreviated service done at a chapel or grave site in a cemetery.
Cremation Services:
Cremation is just an alternative to earth burial. It in no way limits the choices that you have to honor your loved one’s life. All of the options including viewings and funerals with the deceased person present are available even when choosing cremation.
Most families that choose cremation still have a visitation and a funeral service or a receiving of friends and a memorial service. This allows those who wish to have cremation as a means of final disposition the opportunity to experience the value of a meaningful celebration of life.
In some cases, families choose direct cremation, which is simply the removal of the remains from place of death followed by the cremation. In these cases, there is no visitation, funeral or memorial service. Certain laws have to be observed such as waiting 24 hours before the cremation may occur. The cremation must be authorized by the coroner’s office.
