Anna Mae Noel

July 5, 1948-March 20, 2024

Anna Mae Noel, 75, Altoona, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Horace and Marian Jane (Parker) Loop. Anna Mae married Franklin E. Noel, Jr. on Dec. 6,1969, he preceded her in death on July 24, 2012.

Surviving Anna Mae are her four sons: James E. Noel (Kristi), Larry E. Noel of Altoona; Anthony E. Noel of Ohio and Brian E. Noel (Candice) of Arkansas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry A. Loop (Bonnie) of Bedford; and long-time friend, Linda Hale.

Anna Mae was preceded in death by a son, Dewey E. Noel.

She was a 1966 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1968 graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing.

Anna Mae retired from the Altoona Hospital as a Nurses Aid.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. with Anna Mae’s nephew, Pastor David Loop and Pastor Stewart McClelland. Interment will be at Alto Reste Cemetery.
