Obituary For Betty E. Leidy

Betty E. Leidy November 15, 1925 – November 15, 2022

Betty E. Leidy, 97, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at her residence. Betty was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Neuder) Edwards. On March 4, 1948 she married Paul V. Leidy who preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Raeanne Leidy of Altoona; nephews: Gregory R. (Katherine) Ellis of Altoona, Shawn Ellis of Altoona, Alan (Connie) Klobetanz, Eddie Edwards, and Jeffrey (Cathy) Edwards; nieces: Sharon (Edward) Doherty, Susan Klobetanz, Jean (Tyrone) Placek, and Wendy Hoover. She was preceded in death by sisters: Alene (Harold) Hull, Sylvia (Fred) Ellis, Sara (Ray) Klobetanz, Shirley Edwards; and a brother, John (Ann) Edwards. Betty was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Altoona High School and enjoyed traveling and reading. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 by Fr. D. Timothy Grimme.
