Obituary For Carolyn F. Aurandt

Carolyn F. Aurandt Nov. 8, 1937-Dec. 14, 2021

Carolyn F. Aurandt, 84, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Fay and Josephine Eirhart. Carolyn was married to Paul R. Aurandt, he preceded her in death, August 21, 2021. Carolyn is survived by her children: Timothy Cole, Janet Cole and Barbara Cole, all of Altoona. She had been employed with Pal-Mino’s Pizza and was a member of the ARC of Blair County. Carolyn volunteered for Blair Senior Services where she spent many years delivering meals on wheels to those in need. Carolyn was an athlete for over 25 years with Blair County Special Olympics, where she competed in track, bowling, bocce and volleyball, winning many gold medals into her 80’s. She enjoyed traveling with her children for competitions and vacations, recently taking her dream vacation to visit Graceland. Carolyn was loved and will be missed by her family. There will be no public funeral service. Arrangements are provided by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.
