Clair L. “Sam” LockeJuly 9, 1936 – November 29, 2022Clair L. “Sam” Locke, 86, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his residence.Sam was born in Altoona, son of the late William and Margaret (Pope) Locke.Surviving is a son, Jason C. Locke of Altoona; a brother, Blaine Lock (Barb) of FL; two sisters: Connie Blazier (Jesse) of Altoona and Judy Wolfe of MD; and several nieces and nephews.Sam was a graduate of Altoona High School and was a US Air Force Veteran.He retired as Supervisor of Material from Conrail after 35 years of service. In his 35 year career, Sam never took a sick day.Sam was a member of the Unter Uns and Buccinese Society and enjoyed going to Fat Daddy’s and Family Pizza. He was interested in genealogy and wrote books on the “History of the Locke Family” and “Civil War Members of the Locke Family”Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are by E.
