Cory J. Treese

March 28, 1955 – August 23, 2023

Cory J. Treese, 68, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at his home.

Cory was born in Altoona, son of the late James B. and Joann (Tillett) Treese.

He is survived by two sons: Justin J. Treese (Angela) of Altoona, and Cory S. Treese (Kaylee) of Burlington, NC; two daughters: Sommer L. Potter of Altoona and Lindsay N. Treese (Dylan) of Duncansville; 9 grandchildren: Kaylee, Alexis, Lundyn, Irelynn, Holynn, Roman, Dahlia, Wilkes, and Rue; two great-grandchildren: McKenzie and Rylee; a brother, Kerry Treese (Lisa) of Altoona; a sister, Lori A. Kensinger (Mark) of Duncansville; a niece, Breanna; a close friend, Jeff Auker; and Traci Treese and Brenda Kenawell.

He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Quincy.

Cory was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School and received an associate degree from Penn State University.

He retired from Hollidaysburg Manor Apartments in maintenance.

Cory enjoyed working on cars, watching his favorite TV shows, and drinking Sweet Walter.

Friends will be received from 11am-2pm, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
