Dolores Jean (Rupert) SnyderNov. 11, 1933 – June 27, 2022Dolores Jean (Rupert) Snyder, 88, of Altoona, passed away Monday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. Dolores was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Mae (White) Rupert. She married Donald Lee Snyder who preceded her in death in 1993.She is survived by three daughters: Linda Lee (Snyder) Rice and husband Bill of Altoona, Susan (Snyder) Kessling and husband Robert of Flinton, and Sherri Snyder of Altoona; four grandchildren: Michael Kessling, Crystal Sipe, Stephen Westcott and Sara Kennedy; four great-grandchildren: Chloe, Dylan, Alexa and Aubree; several bonus grandchildren; and her long-time companion of 20 years, Daryl Cadle.She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rupert and sister, Sharon Ann Patterson.Dolores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and companion. She enjoyed belly dancing, art classes, white water rafting, and even took a trip on a hot air balloon when she was younger. She loved to go on cruises, see new sights and take interesting adventures. Dolores loved being part of what she called “The Mail Girls” which was a coffee group that met daily where she lived.She was a free spirit and loved to try new things. Dolores instilled in her daughters that it was all about the love of a family. She was indeed a phenomenal woman.Dolores will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her loving family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, 4771 E.
