Doris Jean Mitchell

May 17, 1944-August 28, 2026

Doris Jean Mitchell, 82, of Altoona, peacefully passed away Friday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She married Robert David “Mitch” Mitchell on September 14, 1985, he preceded her in death.

Doris is survived by her son, Richard Myers (Katei) of Elizabethton, TN, and her daughter, Deborah Styer of Inwood, WV; six grandchildren: Jessica Custer (Mike), Austin Styer (Will), Rickie Myers II (Nadia), Barbara Fonash (Andrew), Natalie Kokoskie and Adam Kokoskie and three great-grandchildren: Jackson and Caroline Custer and Alexander Fonash.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Kokoskie (Tony).

Doris retired as the Tourism Program Manager for Southern Alleghenies.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

A memorial service will be held at a later time with family.
