Janice I. Miller September 28, 1947 – July 20, 2021 Janice I. Miller, 73, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at Penn Highlands Tyrone Hospital after an extended illness. Janice was born in Altoona, daughter of Agnes (Cowher) Miller and the late Wilbur B. Miller. She is survived by five brothers: Wilbur Miller, Ronald (Rita) Miller, Donald Miller, Rick (Tracey) Miller and David (Susannah) Miller all of Tyrone; a sister, Barbara (Darrell) Shildt of Altoona and numerous nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by a very close friend, Connie Miller and a sister-in-law, Joyce Miller. Janice was a 1965 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and retired from Veeder- Root. She was a member of 28th Street Church of the Brethren and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home by Pastor Barron Deffenbaugh.
