Joyce M. FrankSeptember 5, 1936 – June 4, 2022Joyce M. Frank, 85, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness.Joyce was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James F. and I. Louise (Barkley) Saleme. On February 1, 1992, she married George C. Frank.Surviving is her loving husband, George; two daughters: Dana K. Holland and Rebecca A. Holland both of Altoona; a son, Keith E. Holland (Barb) of Elizabethtown; step-daughters: Kimberly K. Whitaker (Steve) of Carlisle and Beth Ann Loop of State College; six grandchildren: Matthew Taylor (Christie), Nicholas J. Taylor, Alex Wrightstone, Kaitlyn Loop, Josh Whitaker, and Zach Whitaker; a great-granddaughter, Johna D. Taylor; two sisters: Judy Ann Hymes (Jerry) and Linda L. Saleme of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.Joyce was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary D. Wrightstone.She was a graduate of Altoona High School and the Altoona School of Commerce.Joyce retired from Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries as Assistant to the Administrator. She was an avid Altoona Curve fan and was a member of the Altoona Curve Booster Club.Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. by Pastor Jon Neely.
