Marcella ‘Mam Mam’ E. (Jones) Gutshall June 19, 1931-December 26, 2023

Marcella E. Gutshall, 92, of Lakemont, recently of the Hollidaysburg Veteran Home, passed into the arms of her beloved Savior, Tuesday, at UPMC Altoona, after an extended illness.

She was born in Carson Valley, daughter of the late Seibert and Florence (Gerkin) Jones. She married George Gutshall on January 18, 1949, who preceded her in death in 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mary (Jones) Kelly, Frank Jones, Bill Jones, Betty (Jones) Dickerson, and daughter, Darlene (Gutshall) Metzger.

She is survived by a brother, Sam Jones and a sister, Martha Beck; children, George (Marge) Gutshall, Gilbert (Mona) Gutshall, Debbie (Dave) Troxell; and son-in-law, Dave Metzger.

Marcella had 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Marcella was raised in Lakemont and lived in Lakemont her whole life. She was a pillar of the Lakemont community. She was of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg and she loved her family and her Jesus very much.

A private viewing will be held at the discretion of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
