Obituary For Marjorie Marie Brenner

Marjorie Marie (Riley) Brenner April 18, 1922 – October 26, 2021

Marjorie Marie (Riley) Brenner, 99, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare. Marjorie was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William P. and Marie (Garrity) Riley. On August 13, 1943, in Pensacola, FL, she married Charles E. Brenner, Sr. who preceded her in death on September 12, 1993. Surviving are a son, Charles “Chuck” Brenner, Jr. (Mary) of Batavia, NY; a daughter, Theresa Barone (Dan) of Penfield, NY; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen Ritter. Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School and completed two years of nurses training at Atlantic City Hospital. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse having done private duty nursing and working at Dr. Clair Burket’s Office, Mercy Hospital OB/Nursery and Catholic Child Care Center in the nursery. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild for over 50 years and active in the Youth Group. She belonged to the Ladies Card Club in Juniata and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion #745 for many years. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata by Fr. Ronald V. Osinski. Committal will be at Alto Reste Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Altoona Area Public Library, Children’s Library, 1605 5th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16602 in Marjorie’s memory. Arrangements are by E.
