Nancy L. Wise January 30, 1939 – December 12, 2021 Nancy L. Wise, 82, Altoona went to be with the Lord on Sunday at UPMC Altoona. Nancy was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George L. and Carrie E. (Hollingshead) Dixon. On June 21, 1958, she married Joseph P. “Chum” Wise who preceded her in death on August 27, 2002. Surviving is a son, Mark P. Wise of Altoona; a daughter, Tessa Greenwood (Mike) of Altoona; twelve grandchildren: Patrick, Randall, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Maranda, Madison, Tony, Johnathan, James, Shawna, Christy and Mike. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick L. and two brothers: Dave and George Dixon. Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School and retired in 2005 from Juniata Fabrics after 32 years of service. She was a member of First Church of Christ. Nancy enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m., Friday December 17, 2021 with Pastor John Collins officiating.
