Obituary For Nancy Lou Beeney

Nancy Lou Beeney Sept. 12, 1933-Jan. 27, 2022

Nancy Lou Beeney, 88, Altoona, passed away Thursday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Scott Winfield and Elsie Mae (Bowen) Peters. Nancy married Donald William Beeney on October 10, 1959. Nancy is survived by her loving husband; a son, Dave S. (Claudia) Beeney of Altoona; a grandson, Michael David (Lindsey) of Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rae and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Joyce Henshaw and Phyllis Mock and a brother, David L. Peters. Nancy was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a former member of Salem United Church of Christ and the former president of the Emporium Garden Club. Nancy enjoyed crafting, gardening, and volunteering for many years at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park. Arrangements are provided by the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.
