Obituary For Paul E. Amick

Paul E. Amick June 28, 1936 – January 31, 2021 Paul E. Amick, 84, Altoona, passed away Sunday at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Kenneth and Lavina (Hollinger) Amick. On June 15, 1957, he married Judith Moyer who preceded him in death on October 8, 2003. Surviving are three daughters: Pamela Davis (Ron) of Flinton, Tina Rhodes (Daryl) of Claysburg and Brenda Graham (Brian) of Altoona; six grandchildren: Heather Dudley (Myles), Nicole Rhodes, Brittany Charles (Jonathan), Stephanie Barlow (Joseph), Ariel Catlin (Christopher) and Samantha Graham (fiancé Willis Holden; ten great-grandchildren: Reagan, Blake, Bryson, Makenna, Harper, Madelyn, Bennett, McKinley, Landon and the youngest, “his little buddy”, Maddox; special friend, Pat Sankey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers: Donald, Gary and Robert Amick; and two sisters: Irma Jean Gaylor and Delores Amick. Paul worked in auto repair for many years and retired as owner and operator of Paul’s Auto Service after 40 years of service. He enjoyed working with electronics, listening to music, traveling and most especially, spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 4-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Alto Reste Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to UPMC Family Hospice at www.familyhospicepa.org in Paul’s memory.
