Robert S. (Bob) Cramer, 87, Duncansville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday.
Bob was born in Altoona, son of the late John L. and Ruth N. (Hemcher) Cramer, Sr. On August 30, 1958 he married Mary E. Guyer.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Mary; a daughter, Barbara Jo Daugherty and husband Larry of Hollidaysburg; three sons: Bradley R. Cramer and wife April (Davis) of Duncansville, Benjamin J. Cramer and wife Robin (Salisbury) of North Huntingdon, and Bruce J. Cramer and wife Lynn Janczukiewicz of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandchildren: Katie Dillon and husband Bill, Kyle Daugherty, Ashley Cramer, Joe Cramer, Charles Cramer, George Janczukiewicz and Louise Cramer; and a great-grandchild, Cooper Dillon.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Rose M. Cramer, Sara Zeek and Betty Imler; a brother, John Cramer, Jr.; brothers-in-law: Byron Guyer, Jay Guyer, Hank Zeek, and Richard Imler; and a sister-in-law, Esther Cramer.
Bob was a 1953 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired Sgt. First Class from the US Army Reserves. He also retired from Penelec, after 26 years of service and previously worked at Imler’s Poultry and W.S. Lee and Sons.
He was an active member serving the Lord at Grace Family Bible Church. He was a life member of the NRA and volunteered his time with the Blair County Historical Society. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting on Wopsy Mountain with the boys. He enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, his favorite being Kenya, Africa and Iceland. He enjoyed nature, especially weeding on his hands and knees, cutting wood and watching birds from his easy chair. Most importantly, his grandchildren and great-grandchild were his pride and joy.
Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, and from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service Wednesday, June 1, 2022, all at Grace Family Bible Church, 2243 Mill Road, Duncansville, PA 16635 with Pastor James Zaebst. Interment will be at Alto Reste Cemetery.
