Obituary For Rosaline Karp

Rosaline Karp June 5, 1929-Sept. 8, 2021

Rosaline Karp, 92, of Chicago, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Share) Mazur. Rosaline married Albert Karp on February 7, 1954, he preceded her in death in 2003. Rosaline is survived by her children: Rick (Susan) Karp of Hollidaysburg, Daniel (Amy) Karp of Chicago, IL; Diane Weiner of Cleveland, OH; eight grandchildren: Samuel (Rachel), Joseph, Jacob Karp; Michael, Andrew (Marni) and Jessica Weiner and Sarah (Keith) Stevens and Caitlin (Justin)Tressler; and great-grandchildren: Asher, Becca, Joshua, Charlotte, Hazel and Ruby. She is the sister of Freda Rose and was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Mazur. Rosaline was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School and went on to Los Angeles City College. She retired as a senior bookkeeper for Sheetz, Inc. She was a member of Agudath Achim Sisterhood, President of the Jewish Memorial Center Axillary, a life member of Hadassah, taught Hebrew School and Sunday School. Rosaline enjoyed bowling, watching football, reading, and playing mahjong, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021 at Agudath Achim Synagogue. Interment will be held at Agudath Achim Cemetery.     You and your family are in my heart and mind. My condolences on the passing of your mother. Bob Henderson I met Dan and Amy from Beth El in Pittsburgh. My grandparents from both sides are also buried in Agudath Achim Cemetery in Altoona.
