Gary enjoyed working on mechanical things, watching old western movies, sitting out on his porch, and spending time with his family. Matt, Sharon and family. I have very fond memories of Uncle Gary and regret not staying more in-touch with him although I was lucky enough to have a few wonderful discussions with him through the years and did get to visit with him a few years ago. To me, he will always be the king of the "dad" jokes. There was never a time I can remember when he did not include multiple such jokes in a conversation and you couldn't help but smile. I will miss those occasional conversations as I am sure you miss him greatly. I am very sorry for your loss.

Matt,Sharon, and families, I Am sorry for your loss. Uncle Gary was the one bright spot in my family visits as a child. He truly touched my heart. I know that you will miss him greatly, but I know my Mom, his sister Mim, is extremely happy to see him.I hope the thought brings you comfort.

Sharon, Matt and families, I have so many memories I can't pick just one. From the times in MI to sitting on the porch, graduations, hospital stays, breakfasts, and just plain talking. I will miss our texts, our laughs, his check ins just because, his jokes, his love, & just plain him. He was a great man, one in a million & I am a better person just to have had him in my life as my Uncle & a father figure. I know Heaven is happy but I am truly sad. I am here if you need anything. I love you guy's more than you know.
