November 1, 1978-April 24, 2024

Stacy Elise Lasser, 45, of Hollidaysburg passed away surrounded by her loving parents Byron and Ronna (Schwartz) Lasser after fighting a courageous battle with liver cancer. Stacy is survived by Uncles Richard and Robert Schwartz; Aunts Jo Lasser, Tanya Schwartz, Janet Levy, Leslie Kleinmuntz, and Linda Fritz Bell; cousins Lisa Lasser, Dan, Alana, Jordan (Niki), Ali (Blake Schrier) Schwartz; and her loving soulmate David Neely and his parents Shirley and Bob Neely.

Grandparents William and Sylvia Lasser and Dr. Norman and Doris Schwartz predeceased her as well as her uncle Sherman Lasser.

In 2000 Stacy graduated from the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center and Hollidaysburg Area High School where she enjoyed going to all their athletic games. Stacy was very active in Ridge and Valley Region Special Olympics roller skating and bowling and enjoyed going to the Altoona Curve baseball games. She never missed an opportunity to watch WWE Wrestling shows on TV or attend the shows in person at Bryce Jordan Center. She was always making people laugh with her joyous personality and sense of humor. She was a bright light wherever she went.

Stacy worked eighteen years at McDonald’s, and we want to especially thank her manager Bill for all his help and understanding. A heartfelt thanks to the sisters and employees at Garvey Manor where Stacy worked as an Aviary Technician since 2019 and making her feel like the special person she was. The staff of 365 Hospice and of North Star Support Services, The Learning Community, especially Rayleen Harp, and Jodi Bishop also Jenna Miller of Innovative Support Services having been instrumental in helping Stacy obtain a meaningful quality of life over the last twenty-four years.

Stacy was a member of Agudath Achim Sisterhood and a board member of The Arc of Blair County.

Friends will be received from 10-11 am, Friday, April 26, 2024 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Agudath Achim Cemetery.

    Stacy was our daughter Mandy's first friend starting from days after their birthday. We remember Stacy with such find memories and fun family times together.     I Knew Stacy from school and working at McDonalds. I truly enjoyed her very much. I enjoyed the talks we had so very much.Rest in peace my dear little Stacey. Your shining star will be glowing for all of us.
