Obituary For Suellen Kane

Suellen Kane

July 29, 1946-March 11, 2024

Suellen Kane, 77, Altoona, passed away on Monday at Garvey Manor following a brief illness.

She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Merrill S. Mills and Geraldine C. (Simpson) Frye.

Suellen is survived by her daughter, Korin and son-in-law Jude Coppeta of Altoona; stepdaughter, Stephanie Meyers; grandchildren: Nicolas, Lilliana, Taylor, Trenton and Aden; sister, Cindy Yingling; sister-in-law, Carol Mills; two brothers, Barry Mills and Glenn Mills.

She was preceded in death by ten siblings: Linda McGregor, Barbara Rhule, Marjorie Salyards, Bonnie Green, Sandy Shumaker, Ralph Mills, Sonny Mills, David Mills, Steve Mills, and Butch Mills.

Suellen was a member of Altoona SDA Church.

She retired from the business office at Penn State Altoona.

Suellen enjoyed crafting, playing cards with friends, going to church and especially loved spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 12 to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, where a funeral service will follow at 3p.m. with Pastor Donald Ball.
