Terry R. “Sparky” Aungst February 3, 1949 – December 12, 2021 Terry R. “Sparky” Aungst, 72, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona. Terry was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles L. and Betty (Hammel) Aungst. On September 16, 1967, he married Sandra J. Schum. Surviving are his loving wife; three daughters: Tammy Guida (Matt) of Altoona, Pamala Aungst (Ron Settlemyer) of Altoona and Sherry Woytowiez (Brian Bauman) of Hollidaysburg; eight grandchildren: Zachary Aungst, Terry Aungst III, Rachelle Aungst, Cieara Barroner, Matthew Guida, Mike Dobson, Lindsey Settlemyer and Amber Woytowiez; seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Jeffrey Aungst of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry R. Aungst, Jr.; a brother, James Aungst and a sister, Patty Miller. Terry was a 1967 graduate of Altoona High School and retired as a mechanic from Drenning’s. Terry enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. There will be no public funeral services.
