Theresa E. Campbell, 93, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare after an extended illness.

Theresa was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Koehle) Heim. On August 4, 1951, she married Regis A. Campbell who preceded her in death on April 26, 2022.

She is survived by four sons: Dr. Terence J. Campbell of Altoona, Stephen J. Campbell of Altoona, Regis J. Campbell (Florence) of Chest Springs, and Patrick J. Campbell of Tyrone; two daughters: Caroline C. Lynn (Thomas) of Hollidaysburg and Suzanne M. Ponchock (Gary) of Centreville, VA; six grandchildren: Alex-Rae and Dr. Sara Campbell, Jordan (Ellen) Campbell, Andrew and Samantha Lynn, and Jeremy Knapp (Krista) and their children; a sister, Margaret Parshall of Duncansville; sisters-in-law: Geraldine “Gerry” Campbell, Justina Campbell and Mary Louise Campbell; Denise Campbell and numerous other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Campbell; grandchildren: Vicki Joy Ponchock and Aaron Campbell; two sisters: Alice (Raymond) Frederick, Mary (Joseph) Pielmeier; brother-in-law, Chester “Whitey” Parshall, and half siblings: Elizabeth, Herman, William, Helen, Genevieve “Jenny”, Joseph, and Charles.

Theresa was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. Early in her life, she worked at the Altoona Shoe Factory and then was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.

She enjoyed antiques, reading books, researching genealogy, watching old westerns and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

There will be no public visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2716 Broad Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601 by Fr. James Dugan. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Theresa’s memory to: Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.
